Close to JR/Train Station and great staffs!”
My stay at Shibuya Granbell Hotel is great. The hotel is located in a less crowded Shibuya area where you can relax at the end of the day after all the shopping and sightseeing. It only takes 5 minutes of walk to the train station and the most busy area in Shibuya for all the shopping you will ever need. The hotel staff is attentive and knows basic english to answer all your questions. We reserved a premier double room and the room was bigger than we were expected for a Tokyo hotel. Room cleaning is the best! The staff do not disturb you at all. No knocking on the door to see if you are in the room. For some reason, they just know when you are out and clean your room by the time you come back. Overall, Shibuya Granbell Hotel is a great hotel for the price. Thanks again for the amazing service! P.S~We highly recommend booking this hotel around Cherry Blossom time. The streets around the hotel is fill with white cherry blossom trees and walking out everyday is like looking at a post card.

Memorable stay at Shibuya Granbell Hotel”
Service at this hotel is excellent. The staff were attentive and helpful, spoke good English and went out of their way to accommodate our requests to change our rooms after we had accidentally booked smoking rooms. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the south-west exit of JR Shibuya Station, and a 10 minute walk from the world-famous Shibuya intersection near the Hachiko exit of the station. A huge variety of shops, malls and restaurants were easily available in the general vicinity of the hotel. It was also a very short train ride on the Yamanote line to Harajuku and Shinjuku. The hotel can also be accessed directly from Haneda Airport, via limousine bus, which stops at the Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel that is a 5-minute walk around the corner from the Shibuya Granbell Hotel. The hotel provides well-prepared breakfast at its in-house restaurant that was hearty and delicious. Also located within the hotel is a western-style pub that serves excellent thin-crust pizzas that are available as room service. Overall, a good experience and we will be staying here again if we ever came back to Tokyo.

Would definitely come back ”
Shibuya Granbell has everything a traveller would need to have a good time in Tokyo. It's a five to ten minute walk to Shibuya Station, there's a Family Mart around the corner and a Lawsons just up the road (although we only saw it on the last day). Doutour, Handdrip Coffee and Excelsior are just down the street. I've read reviews with complaints about the heating during the colder months, but during the summer, the airconditioning is on full blast. It was nice arriving back to the hotel to recharge after an exhausting day walking around in the muggy weather. The staff was very helpful from the beginning. They let us keep our luggages secured in the lobby so we could do some last minute shopping after checking out and called us a cab to the airport. Cabs are quite expensive in Tokyo, but if you do take one, make sure you carry the hotel card with the address. It can be a bit difficult to let the cab drivers know where the hotel is. I usually just say Cerulean Towers and asked to get dropped off at the corner where Family Mart is. The price for the hotel is pretty good considering what a good location it is and how nice the facilities are. I would definitely make this my staple hotel when I do come back to Tokyo.

Great modern boutique hotel”
We spent one night at the Shibuya Granbell hotel - booked with a great deal via Agoda (and rescheduled at short notice without any additional cost!). We had previously spent two nights at another Tokyo hotel, so we were very pleased with the size of our room at the Granbell - it had space for a large double, plus small sofa, desk, wardrobe - huge by Tokyo standards! It was all stylishly decorated, and felt modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The location is excellent - on a quietish side street a few minutes walk from Shibuya crossing. We'll definitely be staying there again next time we're in Tokyo.

Go for the bigger room”
The Shibuya Granbell is a good location and fairly easy to get to from Shibuya. There are elevators on the overpasses from the south side of Shibuya station, so you can bring your luggage on the elevated walkways (might talk a little longer than without). I did a single room, which is looks nice, but is very small. I had one suitcase, a computer bag and backpack. No storage in the room, so space gets limited really quick. It is good for one person, but unless you are only in Tokyo for 1 or 2 nights would be difficult for 2 people. For about double the price in the same hotel, which is where my parents stayed, you get a closet and a sofa to sit on, plus a bigger bed. The breakfast included is free and a good way to start the day if you don't want to go to a cafe, which is also close as well. Familymart and 7-Eleven are also in the area, so if you want to pick up something, they are right there. Also lots of restaurants in short walking distance too.

Great Hotel. Good location. Good service.”
To be fair to the hotel, I did not dine at any of the restaurants in the hotel, that's why I only rated it as 3. Hotel is very near to Cerulean Tower Tokyo hotel and you can take a limousine bus from either airports to Cerulean Tower and walk 3-5 mins to Granbell Hotel. There are MANY restaurants right outside our hotel and JR Shibuya station is right across the bridge. Super accessible to everywhere in Tokyo. Have already decided with my boyfriend that we will choose Granbell Hotel when we visit Tokyo again. Definitely recommended!

Amazing location, clean and comfortable rooms ”
We stayed at Shibuya Granbell hotel twice - once at the beginning of our two-week Japan holiday for 3 nights, and once right at the end just for a night. Both stats were great - the location of this hotel is top notch. 5 minutes walk from Shibuya station and crossing, easily accessible to both the Haneda and Narita buses (4 mins walk away), yet it's located on a quiet street so you don't really have any of the noise and busyness of the area on your doorstep. Our first stay was in a double room, which was small, but very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The second stay was in a suite, which was incredibly lovely and luxurious. Overall, highly recommended hotel, perfect for a few nights stay in Tokyo.

Nice small boutique hotel”
The Shibuya Granbell is a great way to see Tokyo as the location could not be better. It's in shibuya but just out of the way so it's not a crazy party scene all night there. My room was tiny but immaculate and quiet. Bed was comfortable, shower and bath were nice, modern and clean. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly with information. The breakfast is great and super fast. I wasn't thrilled with the hotel restaurants but they were friendly at least. The bar could use an update there, they played the same 8 songs there (Austin powers theme, Beatles song) while other piped in Muzak could be heard. It's the best place though for wifi reception. It has potential to be much better. All in all I quite liked staying at the Shibuya Granbell. Great value for the money.

My home away from home.”
This is my second stay at the Shibuya Granbell Hotel and my experience was just as lovely as the first. The management and staff are always so friendly. The room was exceptional and as always, the hotel is close to the JR Shibuya station, crossing, and Hachiko. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Shibuya. I will always try to book here when I come to Tokyo. ありがとうございました! Thank you very much to the staff.

Great location, great staff”
I didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel since we wanted to explore Greater Tokyo but it seemed that the party always ended up in Shibuya and I had a short walk to my hotel whereas my friends had to either cab it back to Hatagaya or if they were further they had to stay up until the trains started running again. My only wish was that they had a larger area in the lobby where you could catch the Wi-Fi as there is only one couch and it's busy with people checking in and out and as soon as you got to the door it didn't catch anymore. The staff were very helpful with helping me find the correct lines to catch for each destination I asked them about (they even printed out the routes and est. times and gave them to me) and gave me good recommendations for restaurants in the area (though admittedly it's not hard to find good restaurants on your own in Shibuya). I would definitely stay at the Granbell Hotel again.

Shibuya Granbell has the best location, very near ”
Shibuya granbell has the best location, 5 minutes walk from west exit of JR shibuya station and very close to the heart of shibuya (including the crossing and hachiko statue). Easy access to all location in Tokyo. Has free breakfast, clean, simple and comfortable. The room is rather small but has everything you need for a pleasant stay in Tokyo. Remember this is a value hotel, not for those who want lavish vacation with big room, bathtub, etc.

Perfect location for getting around Tokyo”
I stayed at the Shibuya Granbell Hotel for 9 nights and while the single rooms are small, if it's just you and your luggage there's really no drama. The bathroom / shower area is quite big & the king single bed is big enough for a normal sized person. You might have a bit of trouble if you've a lot of luggage though as the corridor between the bathroom and the other wall is a bit narrow with your suitcase sticking out. Still, I was perfectly happy with the room size at the great price I got as the hotel is amazingly well located. Just behind Shibuya train station -- which basically can get you anywhere in Tokyo and Japan -- it's only 5 mins walk from the famous Hachiko statue, one train stop from Harajuku, three stops from Shinjuku etc. There are heaps of eateries around the hotel, including cool bars with live music, a three minute walk to a Family Mart (7-11) and within walking distance of a number of drop-off & pick-up points for the Airport buses. The design overall is quite modern although it's beginning to see wear and tear; there are some water stains on the carpet and the wall paint is getting dingy. If you're a crazy stickler for pristine clean then you might not like this; although the bathroom was pretty spotless, so it's really just decor. The sheets are changed daily, as are towels and toiletries -- which are pretty good too, including shaver / toothbrush etc. The free broadband is awesome! It's super fast and easy to log into; you can totally work from your room if you need to. The complementary breakfast that comes with the room is very average; especially the set western version in the restaurant on the second floor -- you're better off with the Japanese breakfast. The breakfast offering at Cona, the hotel's pizza restaurant, is better if you're looking for western food. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful; the guys at Cona are actually quite cool in a muso way. Overall, I'd definitely stay again.

Great location”
If you are planning to visit Tokyo, Shibuya Granbell Hotel is a great hotel to stay. It is very near to Shibuya Station, it only takes around 20mins walk to the hotel, the only downside is you have to walk-up a stairs to cross the overpass to get to the hotel. If you are carrying big luggage it would be hard for you but there are elevators at the over pass that can make things easier. Everything is accessible by foot, if you want to see Hachiko Monument it is right outside Shibuya Station, it is very near to Shibuya crossing and to malls and restaurants. The rooms are very clean. They also gave us complimentary breakfast which is a big bonus. Overall, I am very pleased and would love to stay there again on my next visit to Tokyo.

Great location and value for money”
For solo travelers, why suffer through an airbnb when Shibuya Grandbell provides great service for a reasonable price? The single room is big enough for a solo traveler with a queen size bed and good sized en suite bathroom. The size is big for Tokyo hotels and is really a good value for the price. Location wise, it's next to a sushi bar, kirin beer place, an izakaya, and gyudon beef bowl place so there's plenty of places to eat when you come home at night. The in house hotel bar and restaurant also has a lot of clients at night and there's also a bar with a live band at the corner so lots of options without venturing far. 10 min walk to Cerulean Tower so it's easy to reach via airport limosine bus, no need to lug your luggage through the subway. 15 min walk to nearby Shibuya scramble and shopping, all essential shopping places are within Shibuya so you could definitely complete your shopping trip easily and take a flag down rate taxi (¥730) back to the hotel from Shibuya shopping area.

Good location and excellent service!”
The Shibuya Granbell Hotel is in a very convenient location (5 min walk from Shibuya Station) and the staff service was excellent! We were pleasantly surprised when, upon check-in, we were given a free room upgrade and complimentary breakfast. The only issues we had were that the carpet was kind of dirty and the hallways were rather dark (the walls were black and lightning wasn't very bright). Othewise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

Cool hotel in a great location”
Really enjoyed our stay at Shibuya Granbell Hotel and would definitely stay again! The location was so central to shops and restaurant which was great to be able to walk everywhere and come and go as well pleased. Although it is in a central location it is slightly off the main roads which made it nice and quiet of a night time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very nice and the most spacious room that we had throughout our whole trip to Japan. Overall a great stay!

Stayed here before and will again”
The first time I ever came to Tokyo, I stayed at Shibuya Granbell and thoroughly enjoyed it. 6 years later, I've returned and the area has had quite abit of redevelopment done. It has become even more easier to travel around with luggage and lot's of new areas to explore. If, you're like me and came to japan to snowboard and need to lug it around. Worry not, there are many elevators around to get to Granbell and even to the NEX platform at Shibuya Station.

Great location with a bit of style.”
An easy walk from public transportation, this is a great place to stay in lively Shibuya. The room, while not huge, is not a bad size by Tokyo standards (I stayed in a Premiere Double: not this property's largest offering but comfortable for a solo traveler and definitely workable for a couple). Things are well laid out, clean and have a bit of style: not a hard-core boutique hotel- of which at present there's not a lot of in Tokyo- but not a typical standard businessman's hotel. The staff spoke serviceable English and if your neighborhood of choice is Shibuya this is a very easy location to center your stay. The only negative thing I can say is that the hotel could use a little freshening up: chipped veneer, a bit of wear to the carpets and tired paint...but the place is definitely clean and not at all shabby feeling. Overall this is a nice property, well priced & well located.

Great staf great hotel great lication”
I stayed a the Granbell twice recently on a trip to Tokyo. This is a good hotel in a good position, close to the station and all the Shibuya attractions. The staff are exceptional. They went beyond their call of duty to assist me in rearranging travel plans due to the recent earthquakes. They helped me understand what areas were affected andsuggested alternative itineraries once I needed to change my plans.
