The stay was nice, especially for business”
My stay at Agora Place Asakusa was great! It is near exit 1 of Tawaramachi on the Ginza line. You can easily access the Ueno area, Sky tree, and Asakusa shrine from Agora Place Asakusa. As for the hotel, it was very nice and designed well. However, I did not like having to pay extra for the basic amenities. Such as shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush, and toothpastes. Though they were about 50 yen to 100 yen each, I would prefer it if they had included those in your room. The single room was small, nice, and comfortable. I liked how the bathroom included a glass encased shower! That is unique and a nice touch to the overall design of the hotel. Other than that, the staff were friendly, efficient, and communicated well. I would recommend a short stay here, but not for long term.

Great location and comfortable!”
It was a great pleasure staying at Agora place Asakusa. It's easy to reach from Tawaramachi Station, close to the heart district of Tokyo. My Mom loves it as well. We had a good sleep there after a long walk. Agora Place Asakusa definitely made my first trip to Japan really enjoyable. Although the staff has limitations in language, they tried their best to help, and from their smiles, i could see they are very faithful to serve their customers. Definitely will use Agora Place Asakusa for my next trip to Tokyo.

A very conveniently located hotel, friendly and helpful staff but the room was small.”
Agora Place is very conveniently located. it is less than 100 metres walk away from Tawaramachi station on the Ginza Line of the Tokyo Subway and is about a 10 minute walk from the main shopping area of the famous Asakusa district. This includes Asakusa Station on the Toei Subway line (the A-line), which has direct trains to both Narita and Haneda airports. There are numerous 7elevens, Lawsons and Family Marts within a one or two minute walk. The hotel is staffed by very friendly and incredibly helpful personnel. There is a 24 hour front desk. However, the room that we were given was a smaller than we expected especially with two big suitcases. The bathroom was also a bit cramp. The suitcases on the ground took up a fair bit of space and there was little room to walk.

Great Place For The Price”
This was my second stay at Agora Place Asakusa. There's nothing special about the rooms - no complimentary toiletries, tiny bathroom, very tiny room. But if you are spending all day out exploring Tokyo, who needs a big place? If you just want a comfortable bed with a convenient location and an excellent price (for Tokyo) then Agora is a good choice.

Great place to stay”
Stayed at the Agora Place with my husband in March, during a family trip. The location was excellent. It was just less than 5 minutes walk to the Tawaramachi Station and maybe about 10-15 minutes walk to Asakusa station, which was very convenient for us to get to anywhere in the city. It was also within walking distance to some of the attractions like the Sensoji Temple and a lot of good food nearby. There are also marts and restaurants just downstairs where we could easily get food. The room, although small, was pretty functional and clean. Staff were friendly and very patient and willing whenever we needed help with directions and etc. They also had some basic things like toiletries on sale so no worries if you forget to bring them. We had a very good stay. Highly recommended place.

Great clean cool hotel, maybe a bit far away”
The hotel is newly renovated to a good standard, the rooms are on the small side, but all hotel rooms in Tokyo are small. However the sink in the bathroom was very small and in a tight space too, but didn't cause us any trouble. Asakusa is quite far away from the busier parts of Tokyo (like Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku etc), but it only takes about 30 min on the metro and you're in the centre. Our breakfast was not included and it was rather pricey to pay for separately, so try to book it as a deal if you can. Also no tea bags on offer in the rooms I think is a bit on the cheap side. There is a lovely old temple in Asakusa, great local markets and shops too. It's easy to get to and from the airport as well. Just take the Keisei Sky line to/from Asakusa station, it takes about 40-45 min, takes longer than the express but at half the price! The closest metro station to the hotel is Tawamarachi on the Asakusa line(one stop from Asakusa station), it's only 30 m from the hotel.

Simple but really clean”
I stayed for 2 days. It was located just a minute from Tawaramachi St. so it really helped us to save our time during this trip to go to around Tokyo. Next to the hotel there's Family Mart and 7eleven. The staff also have good english. Thanks Agora Place Asakusa.

European service. Good location.”
I stayed at Agora Place Asakusa for a week. The nearest subway station is Tawaramachi (G18), but it's only 10 minutes walk to Asakusa and 20 minutes walk to Ueno. Comfortable rooms, modern furniture and bathroom, very clean. English-speaking staff. Minus: very small wardrobe, no view.

Best value for solo travelers”
PROS ::: location, location, location! From the airport, it was an easy transfer all to Tawaramachi station and the hotel was a mere 2 minute walk. I had access to the Ginza line easily, and about 7mins walk is Asakusa station. Everything was nearby and quite accessible to supermarkets, 7-11 and Family Mart. The room was small, as expected of Japan, but I had the best view of the Tokyo Sky Tree at night. The laundry machine was perfect downstairs and the front desk was very nice. They even helped me book a table for nearby Nabezo and guided me on where I can buy a certain brand of eye drops. This hotel will be my new go-to place when in Tokyo. **tips for Tawaramachi station, there are elevators on both sides of platforms if you have luggage. CONS ::: None

A good place for a quick overnight lay-over”
I chose to try out the Agora Place after they posted some sale prices on their rooms. I normally stay at the Toyoko Inn across the street from it. I got a single non-smoking for about $45USD all-in. The room itself is fairly small (in comparison to the single room I normally get at the Toyoko Inn across the street); it was however, well kept and clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff was great for checking in and out as well. The only thing that wasn't happy about was not providing any complimentary toiletries at all; at the very least a soap should be provided in every bathroom. Other than that, I would recommend the Agora Place but only when they have their rooms on sale pricing.

Great value”
Great value for low price. Great location - right next to Tawaramachi station (Ginza line), close to Asakusa and Kuramae stations (Asakusa and Oedo lines), so you can get anywhere in Tokyo in as far as one transfer. Nice and helpful staff, great room service. I recommend Agora Place Asakusa for everyone that is looking for a nice hotel in price of Ryokan! :)

Despite being in an old neighborhood the hotel has a great structure the rooms are new and very clean. There are restaurants and convenience stores and the next metro station is next to the hotel.Thank you very much Agora Place Asakusa.

Pleasant and comfortable”
Hotel is located near 2 train station. Asakusa and tawaramachi. Easily accessible by these 2 train station if you're coming from Haneda Airport as the train is direct to Asakusa station. However, it is quite far away from most if the shopping area. First impression of the hotel was that it looks decent and has a very nice lobby. Room was a bit small but with the money I paid for, it was quite worthwhile as I was told that most rooms in tokyo are small. Try not to bring huge luggages as it will be a bit of a problem to walk. Most of the hotel staff can speak English and this is a plus point because most Japanese in tokyo don't speak English. We didn't include breakfast for our stay so wouldn't know how their food would fare. Overall, it's a good hotel to stay in if you're on tight budget.

good location and great value ”
For a solo traveler, the double room at the Agora Place is perfect. The hotel is newly refurbished, it has a welcoming lobby and the rooms feel clean and modern. It's definitely nothing fancy but I felt the double room was great value for money. Compared to other rooms in Japan, the bed was big and comfy, there was enough room to store luggage and still have plenty of space to move around and the shower in the bathroom was a decent size. I was quite happy with the location also. Asakusa is a bit quieter and less busy compared to more popular tourist districts like Roppongi or Shinjuku but still only 10-12 mins by subway to the centre of Tokyo. It is conveniently located only 2-3 mins walk from a Tokyo Metro station on the Ginza line. For other solo travelers I would recommend the double room over the single. The single room is a broom closet with absolutely no space once you unpack your luggage. Double room only cost an extra $20-$25/night.

Fantastic place to stay in Tokyo ”
I stayed in this hotel with my friend, and it was great choice for us. Staff is very friendly, location is perfect (near two metro lines and Sensoji Temple is 8 minute by walk). Direct line from Narita Airport to Asakusa Station (10 minut by walk to hotel) Room was small but we did not expect bigger one. They look like on web site photos. Every day room service included in our price was also nice. Staff was very nice, they even print our bourding pass for free. Next time I would choose the same place. I highly recommend

Steal of a deal in Tokyo”
i really enjoyed my stay at agora. the staff were really helpful. i actually felt a bit sick and they quickly called around and got me to a hospital. the rooms are great size for the price. it is smaller than western standards but that is expected in japan. the location is great in the taito area of tokyo. it's about 10-15 minutes walk to the sensoji temple and about the same distance to ueno station, where there are many things to do. if you don't want to walk you can easily take the subway which is next to the hotel. some may consider the location a bit far from the most lively areas in tokyo like shinjuku, shibuya and harajuku. from ueno station, it's about 30 minutes or so on the yamanote line. overall, i enjoyed my stay.

Very good hotel for Moslem Tourist”
Hotel location is super only few steps from Tawaramachi Metro Subway St. It is in the Ginza Line (Orange Line) that connect to most of Tokyo Most Visit Tourist Destination such as Asakusa (We can walk to Sensoji Temple from the hotel) , Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku and Ginza. I really love the bed and the pillow, very soft. Hotel provides all moslem's needs, such as Praying Mat and they serve moslem's friendly food for breakfast. Very thoughtful. Too bad I have no time to try the food as I always in a hurry every morning. What I don't like about the hotel is the room temperature, it is so warm i even sleep in sweat hahaha May be because outside weather is cold so the room is adapting so we can not adjust the air con, the staff hotel said that the room temperature is centralized so we can not adjust it

Comfortable and relaxing”
Booking through Agoda, we thought we booked two rooms for 2 people each, but ended up booking only two rooms for 1 person each. When we got to Agora very late in the night to check in, the front desk pointed out the misunderstanding, and we paying a little bit extra, we got our rooms changed to accommodate 2 people in each room . The process was pretty fast and wasn't overall intimidating, very nice service and hospitality. Overall, Agora Place gives a very nice impression with its contemporary design and friendly service!

pleasant and comfortable”
My staying in Agora Asakusa was pleasant. We were being upgraded to a bigger room and couldn't ask for more. The location of the hotel is also convenient, as it is very near to the nearest subway station, Family Mart and also Seven Eleven. The internet is fast and the staff is friendly and helpful. We were enjoying our staying in Agora Place Asakusa.
