Did not manage to stay the whole day as I urgently had to travel out of town, however I found the hotel was pretty good even though it seems to me that it is an old hotel, but I'd assume it is pretty well maintained.
The internet connection which is the most important to me was also not really bad compared to any other hotels I had been staying in.
The only hustle that I got was during the check-in time where they asked me to print and/or email my voucher. I was shocked, and I asked whether or not my booking was not placed. But, it was all done.

Beautiful bungalow style hotel at Surabaya
Bungalow-style, good service, garden.

Supportive staffs, adequate wifi signal and speed, lovely garden, nothing match this kind of style in Surabaya. Worth every penny!

We stayed there over the Christmas eve for a night. The hotel location was quite far from anywhere. If you want to relax and enjoy, this hotel will do great as you will feel great. But if you want to spend your time for shopping and nightlife, its better not to choose this hotel.
Hotel situation has a great ambience, food is great, service is excelent. Clean, huge and cosy room with great bathroom.
Absolutely a come back for us..
Shopping Tip:
Equator Hotel provides free shuttle from hotel to Tunjungan and back.

Great value for money!
Traditional Indonesian style, good food, nice pool, comfortable room

I used this hotel twice during my visit to Indonesia and would recommend it as a great value for money - the rooms are a little tired but for the price so what! The food from breakfast to evening meal is good & excellent value for money -if I return to the country I will return to this hotel!
The pool attendant couldn't do enough for me in order to get the pool cleaned so I could swim before leaving!!
Restaurant Tip:
Go to the large Mall about 5 minutes from Equator Hotel - top floor restaurant and have Monster Ribs - they are amazing!!
